Amos Kennedy Prints! events at the Community Folk Art Center, Syracuse, NY
Community Folk Art Center is proud to welcome Amos Paul Kennedy, Jr. for our upcoming exhibition, "Amos Kennedy Prints!" Kennedy is an internationally recognized printmaker whose work will be on display from February 16 through April 2.
Kennedy will join CFAC on Wednesday, Feb. 16 as he transforms the gallery into a working studio to create prints for the exhibition. The public is welcome to attend and to participate in this free workshop, which will run through Friday, Feb. 18. Additionally, CFAC will be screening the film "Proceed and Be Bold!" by Laura Zinger on Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. This documentary recounts the story of Kennedy's journey to become a humble printmaker, challenging and redefining societal norms along the way.
A cash and carry opening reception will be held on Saturday, Feb. 19 from noon to 2 p.m., where the public can meet the artist and browse the prints created for the exhibition. All prints will be available for purchase.
