Sarah Bryant Lecture in Geneva, NY (11/29 @ 4:30)

Sarah Bryant of Big Jump Press will be giving a talk about her recent work at Hobart and William Smith College in scenic Geneva, NY on Thursday, November 29th at 4:30 pm in Houghton House Room 112.



A process oriented exhibit about her last two books (Biography and Fond) will be opening on the 16th of November but will still be on view during the talk.

Steve Miller, Master Printer, to Give Lecture at Wells College on Thursday, October 18

The Wells College Book Arts Center announces that Steve Miller will give the 34th Susan Garretson Swartzburg Book Arts Lecture at 5:00 on Thursday, October 18. Miller, who is co-director of Paper and Book Intensive, runs the MFA Program in Book Arts at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. In his talk entitled Why Books? Miller will explore our eternal fascination with the idea, materials, processes, and creation of books, especially in our increasingly digital world. The talk will be held in Stratton Hall Auditorium on the Wells campus in Aurora, NY. This event is free and open to the public. Please note that the time for Jeff Peachey's lecture Reconstructing Diderot: Eighteenth Century French Bookbinding has been changed to 3 p.m. on November 1st. The lecture will be held in the Peter Graham Scholarly Commons on the first floor of Syracuse University's Bird Library.
