If you can make it tonight, October 12th, do go see the show "The Machine - La Maquina" and meet printmaker Favianna Rodriquez at ArtRage Gallery in Syracuse's Hawley/Green neighborhood. She will be at the gallery from 7 - 9pm. Her work is a fascinating blend of traditional and digital media that speaks about subjects like "literal and imaginative migration, global community and interdependence". Another exciting event happening is a Letterpress Garage Sale hosted by Dock2 Letterpress in Rochester this Saturday, October 15th from 10am - 4pm. There will be a staggering array of items to choose from such as presses, packaged type, type cases, cabinets, dingbats and cuts oh my! Its sure to be an action-packed day! On October 22 is the powerhouse Salt City Urban Art and Craft Market featuring many wonderful imaginative crafters including (me!) Amaranth Press and Bindery with handbound books, letterpress work by superstars Smock, Dock2 Letterpress, Pistachio Press and Ink + Wit plus much more fine craft work. The Market will run from 10am - 6pm in the Armory Square area of Syracuse at King+King Architects 358 W. Jefferson Street. There will be delicious food and drink, fine music and great people to meet!
